Sibelco Australia is a world leader in its rehabilitation techniques and progressively rehabilitates landforms, native vegetation and ecosystems to achieve long- term sustainability.

In 2008 Sibelco Australia was awarded the prestigious Queensland Government - Resource Industries Sustainability Award for outstanding performance in environmental best practice by the Environmental Protection Agency.

On average, Sibelco Australia rehabilitates 75 hectares of mining lease a year. This will increase to between125 to 150 hectares a year over the coming years.

Below we have included a range of images that show the rehabilitation progress on a number of mine sites on North Stradbroke Island. At Sibelco Australia we are very proud of our progressive rehabilitation.
